Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala. Your guide will provide a brief overview of the safari as you embark on the scenic drive west. You will make a stop at the Equator for a photo opportunity and a quick break, followed by lunch in Mbarara town. The journey continues through a beautiful landscape of grasslands and tea plantations, with views of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive on the way to your lodge, offering your first glimpse of the park’s spectacular wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation.

Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea before heading out for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi trail. This area provides a great opportunity to spot a variety of animals, including elephants, buffalos, lions, waterbucks, and the iconic Uganda kobs. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for a full breakfast and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a memorable 2-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and is a haven for wildlife. From the boat, you will see a high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and various other animals coming to the water’s edge, including elephants, buffalos, and warthogs. The channel is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with sightings of malachite kingfishers, pink-backed pelicans, and many other species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After a final breakfast, you will check out of your lodge. You will have the option of a short primate walk in the park to cap off your wildlife experience. You will then begin your drive back to Kampala, enjoying lunch en route. On the way, you will make a final stop at the Mpambire drum center, where you can witness local artisans crafting traditional drums and purchase souvenirs. The safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Kampala in the evening.
