Tour Overview
7 days primates and wildlife adventure is an adventurous experience that will expose you to Uganda's most visited national parks and you will have a great chance to meet mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, chimpanzees in Kibale forest national park, encounter Africa's Big 5 on the western stretch that is Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking, the rest of the animals will be in Murchison for example lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants. You will spot other animals as well and this will make your safari a memorable one.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison via Ziwa rhino sanctuary
On this day, you will be picked by our company representative who will brief you about your safari and thereafter you will head to Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will engage in the rhino tracking experience which will take you about 2 hours. After you have tracked the rhinos, savor the delicious lunch and exit the sanctuary to proceed to Murchison falls national park which is the largest national park in Uganda. You will arrive in the evening, check-in the lodge, and have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
Arise in the early morning to catch the animals when they are still very active. You will find the nocturnal animals in the morning as they make their last hunt, diurnals will also be rising to catch up the day, on your game drive expect to encounter leopards, lions, buffaloes and elephants and by now you will have covered the Big 5. Spot other animals for example giraffes, bushbucks, birds among other animals.
Return to the lodge for a breakfast, relax at the lodge as you enjoy the melodies of the birds around the lodge, you will have lunch and, in the evening, go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Encounter hippos, buffaloes, elephants and other animals that will be swimming. You will enjoy a spectacular view of the falls as the Nile forces its water into a 7 meter gorge producing a thunderous sound, and this is the strongest water falls in the world, you will retire to the lodge in evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Check out and transfer to Kibale forest national park
Arise in the morning, have a delicious breakfast and transfer to Kibale forest national park also known as the primate capital. This is the park which has the highest population of chimpanzees and guess what! you will track them with ease, learn about their social life and many more that is attached to them.
Have a stopover in For-Portal where you will have lunch, enjoy beautiful sceneries of tea plantations, you will proceed to the park, arriving in the evening, connect to your lodge accommodation, check-in, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking
Arise in the early morning, greet your intestines with breakfast, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to Kanyanchu guest information center. Be briefed about chimpanzee trekking, be assigned a ranger guide who will lead you to the forest to encounter the chimpanzees, after you have met them, spend 1 hour with them as you take pictures and videos, chimpanzee trekking will take about 4 hours including 1 hour that you will spend with the chimps, later after return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and dinner.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
This is another day for you to get fully immersed in Uganda's beautiful nature. After a scrumptious breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park a home to mountain gorillas, have lunch enroute in Kabale and then proceed to the park.
The park has 4 gorilla sectors that is Buhoma, Nkuringo, Rushaga and Ruhija gorilla sector, depending on the sector which will have availability, the driver will transfer you there, connect to your lodge in the evening, check-in, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking and cultural tour
Arise in the early morning, grab a delicious breakfast, get your lunch packed and be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking experience. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track and then head to the forest with a ranger guide who will lead you to the gorilla family, after you have met the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour in their presence, take pictures, monitor their behaviors, how they feed, how they play among other characters. Return to the lodge in the evening, freshen up and then head to the Batwa community to engage in their social behaviors.
Day 7: Check out and departure
Another beautiful day for you to be grateful is here! You will wake up in the morning, enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer Back to Kampala or to Entebbe for your flight back home or to other destinations. Lunch en-route will be at Igongo cultural center, after that, you will proceed with the journey as you mark your day of the journey.
